"listened to an excellent interview conducted by jim puplava with gerald celente yesterday that concluded with him decrying the state of our educational system (and calls it the 'college crash') , citing the number of worthless degrees (soft sciences) that are being sought by means of extreme debt.... very expensive pieces of paper (degrees) that will yield little or nothing in the economy that we are seeing devolve into an economy of 'basics'"

After having one house built and making numerous repairs to other houses, I've told my three kids that one should be an electrician, one a plumber, and one a carpenter. You set your own schedule, make a decent buck, actually do something constructive, and if you're reasonably competent do quite well. Plus, you don't have a lifetime of debt from the ridiculous tuitions colleges now charge.
