Yep, I saw that earlier this morning. Those are great photos.

The most amazing thing about the car business to me right now is the massive depreciation on barely used cars. Many domestic 2008 models with 15,000 miles on them have depreciated 50% off list.

People talk about how many are underwater on their houses but nobody seems to be mentioning the huge proportion of auto loans that are underwater due to accelerating depreciation.

As for annual sales, I could see things getting close to 9-million in 2010 when we should hit bottom in the economy. This year ought to be cushioned somewhat by the audacity of hope and the money rained down by the Treasury and the Fed.
