In stead of celebrating being an American, Obama played on race, both white and black. He "used race" rather than accepting that he was American without reference to color.

Hopefully this campaign will have helped him to personally mature and assuage his personal feelings about his mixed heritage.

In the process I am hopeful---that he will change.
