There is now a Black book circulating which replaces the Blue Book value. I was told that banks over-stated the car values and the Blue Book represents that number..........don't be shocked that banks financed cars at inflated prices.

When I was buying my Porsche over a year ago, I was talking to a highline dealer about the gap between bluebook and market. He said that Bluebook is for banks making loans. I did not know that. Of course, I had never been in the market for such a car.

If you want to know the true value of a car, you need that black book you speak of. Actually, car values are changing so quickly right now, you need someone who has access to the Manheim auto auction database.

I hyperventilate at some of the prices of exotics.
