I agree, for 8 years he turned the other cheek even when these people were outright lying. I wish he had defended himself and his policies from the get go.

Turning the cheek is one thing. Defending one's positions is another. Bush went way too far in the non-defense direction.

I think he sincerely doesn't care what is said about him. But he needs to remember others do.
