A last chance to buy foreign currency CDs at Everbank.
But what should it be? i was thinking new zealand dollars. i can buy 1.8 nz dollars for a u.s. buck. cheapest price since 2001. yield 3.6 percent a year, and i can lock that for a year. they have relatively low unemployment and they grow food for the world, so they should make money off that in an inflationary cycle.

nz dollar chart. you can change the time frame.

the yield for 12 months is 3.6 percent and at everbank my money has fdic insurance against loss of my principal.

other suggestions?

here are some sample rates on cds.
