i think LA has a long way to go before the bottom is in...i get lots of updates from realtors there, with the requisite 'price reductions' but for now, they seem to be unrealistically high

looking at the ocean is cool, but there are far less expensive places to do than LA <g>

you might even check out hawaii....we've got an expert on hawaiian RE here...(broken clock? can't remember his name)....i have a friend with a condo in maui, and he says the prices are tanking....and the beaches are considerably more beautiful
