XBrit,

I think it will do well this year, but not stellar. In five years, I think POG will be THE GAME. Like internut stocks revisited.

Plenty of time to make a fortune or two (and lose one also).

The attractiveness of the dollar is predicated on fairly short-term history. The foundation is weak and it is simply a matter of time before the market recognizes this and all currency for the worthless paper is it. I'm patient.

It seems there have a been a ton of layoff notices but not quite as many people being laid off officially yet.

For instance National City has yet to jettison hardly anyone yet.

Maybe its just my imagination. Worst is yet to come?

Just a note for future ref.

The former chief executive of RBS was one of a handful of top bankers to be granted regular Number 11 audiences while Mr Brown was Chancellor and was knighted for services to banking in 2004.

Brown was ALSO the guy who also sold the countries gold back in 2000. How wrong was the guy back then? He still most likely does not have a clue. I thought Gordon Brown was a dickhead back then, and I see no sign or evidence to change that opinion today.

That includes his scum bucket pal Tony Blair and the rest of the guys who just want a job with the Carlyle Group, killing and maiming there way to the top.
