Actually the price only changed 5/16 closing 1/8 below the high. Someone the buyer thinks the stock could trade below 120 on the other hand the seller who takes the larger risk is willing to take a position in MSFT with a cost basis of 120 less the cost of the put or doesn't feel that the stock will ever get that low. It seems since the puts traded up 5/16 that the current sentiment is on the fromer but since the sellers take the greater risk they are generally pretty savvy people. Conclusion. Ask your self would you feel comfortable owning MSFT at 118 and change in DEC? Remember MSFT wasn't bashful about 4th qtr. prospects.Plus given its reception today it appears that Small Business Back Office is going to be a big deal.
