We rented a house in Kauii near Princeville for a week about 9-years ago. It had a few hundred feet of beach front and a guest house as well. It was featured in the movie, "Honeymoon in Vegas". I think it's still owned by the people who rented it to us. They rented it out to help pay for the maintenance, as they didn't spend much time there.

We only paid about $5,500 for the whole week there, and it was about a $4-million house at that time. The only inconvenience was the movie tour bus that would pull up about every other day. My wife was sunning on the beach once when the whole tour walked up on the beach. The guide said, "If there's nobody staying at the house we can walk right up to the windows and look in." My wife lowered her glasses, smiled, and waved a little, and the guide said, "Oh, I guess there is someone staying there."
