I think Huey Long was probably the closest we ever got to that, at least in this century.

If Huey had established himself earlier and had built his base prior to 1932 it could have all been different.

I used to think our electorate would get brighter and more knowledgeable over the decades, but the reverse seems to be happening.

If video games become even more alluring I fear for the future.
