PD is Periscope Depth. As I wrote that post it was full of things like TDU or trash disposal unit. I realized I needed to edit that because to a non submariner the post would make no sense. I guess I missed a couple:) You can thank your son for me. Military isn't the life for everyone. I however enjoyed it and intended to retire from it which I would be now. Unfortunately I have a very bad knee that failed and I ended up medically retired. Still get a check but it wasn't the way I wanted it to go.
