I've see that I've tread on the toes of a favorite son (8 recommendations!!). My apologies to all concerned. I didn't wish to call a conservative a liberal. I was, however, confused by an unhumorous WTF response to Dante and Shakespeare. I thought it would have been received lightly. Not a justification. My bad, and I'm not lying about any of this. Don't indict me.
