Interesting benediction. Forgiveness, love, tolerance and solidarity. And then the old stand by's : black wont be asked to get back and brown and yellow can mellow and white can embrace right...whatever, jeez and amen.

I read that line as being slipped in for the pure enjoyment of the colored folks. This is their moment and one of their own should be telling them to rejoice in old-fashioned rhyme! So he did.
