The dems had no power at all the first six years of the bush presidency and limited power the last two, as the Republicans controlled all three branches of government. A party cannot do good or bad without power. Tom Delay, bush and cheney and the neo cons were running things. Yes, marcos you can blame them! And here was the deal. The Republican congress would not mess with bush, and bush would not mess with the Republican congress. Bush did not veto one bill for the first six years as the Republcians dismantled government and regulations and filled the bills with pork. It was a record for no vetos. If a party is out of power they control no comitties and have no power. That is how our democracy works. So I do not know how you can blame the dems. They had no power. That is like blmaing a murder on someone who was not even present. If you have no power you cannot do anything, right or wrong. And as far as Ron Paul goes----paleeese. Ron Paul was the only person in the congress who refused to appropriate money to give Rosa Parks a medal. That is nutso thinking marcos! Who deserved a medal more than Rosa Parks? Defend that one! There are also old racism questions regarding Ron Paul. But those aside, he wants no government. Well, tell that to the starving people during the great depression or the starving people now. Ron Paul would not help them! Against his libertarian philosophy. When people are starving in a rich country like ours a CIVILIZED government takes cre of them. It does not let them starve. I never felt you would approve of government letting people starve like Hoover did marcos?? Did I read you wrong over all these years?
