What you tongue Ted. You will get chrissie all hot and bothered. Seriously, i feel to those kids like i felt to the kennedy kids a lifetime ago. They are our kids. By the way the NYT has genalogy on both obama and robinson families. (Robinson family actually has a Rabbi in it and not as an inlaw) Its incredible how much this country has changed since JFK was president. When i was growing up there were laws in the south against intermarriage. Now i walk thru brooklyn with my mixed race grandkids who are the loves of my life and who are now not the exception but seemingly the rule. Always said we would be coffee colored one day and race wouldnt mean a thing. Yesterday was so cool for an old civil rights guy like me. I only wish i was braver in those days. One guy who i went to school with back then was and was killed in Mississipi. His name was Andy Goodman. Yesterday CBS featured Ms Evers. They had old footage of Medgar speaking. What grace these folks had in the face of unimaginable (today) evil. We focus too much on the imperfect Jesse and not on the every day black person who continued to strive for the american dream. US evolves over time and there are many missteps along the way. As long as we continue to evolve we will be OK. Go Obama go and to hell with the guys on this thread whose gratuitous bashing of this wonderful man is so transparent as to be humorous.
