Success with surge doesn't cover up the fact he missed the big picture with misleading nation into an needless war, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths.

This is a left-wing lunatic position, borne of ignorance, BDS and free-floating hostility.

The war wasn't needless, but many ignorant leftwingers believe it was. And yes, tens of thousands died, but Saddam and his policies was killing 5,000 civilians, and at that rate, at least 300,000 innocent Iraqis were saved -- far more than died in the war. And they are now a free people as a result of Bush's actions.

Most important is the fact that now we have a working democracy, an ally, in the center of the middle east where we did have a bitter enemy which was chronically bringing us to the brink of war and backing off, which required the maintenance of no-fly zones, which was taking daily pot-shots at our aircraft, and had violated numerous times the cease fire agreement that allowed him to stay in power.

I don't care about Clinton's morality. I do believe he was a largely incompetent president who, rather than taking appropriate action, kicked the Iraq can down the road, leaving it for GWB to take care of.

I fear we've elected one who is even less competent than CLinton.
