I do know about Byrd's life.

Quite frankly I first read that comment as having been done by the writer of the article. I felt it inappropriate if the writer had done so.

I rarely buy political books, but will buy one of Byrd's books I would like to read what he has written.

Now I understand it in the context of the message board.

Bob Byrd recruited 150 of his friends and associates to form a chapter of the Ku Klux Klan.

I wonder if he and his friends created any "Strange Fruit" in West Virginia back in the day.
