Yes...I agree.....he was a very gracious man right to the end.....(and gracious when he had many excuses not to be so---the real test of character).

I don't care what anyone else thinks, or what the media wants me to think. I really like him and his whole family.

My feelings exactly. Bush was graceful in the presence of gracelessness.

I think Bush knows himself and knows that he did the best that was possible in the many tough situations he had to resolve.

I don't care what others think either. I do my own thinking.

Probably many of us here on SI PfP feel the same way about GWB. He is a decent man (Laura would NEVER stay married to someone who wasn't)...

It will be most interesting to see where we are as a Country a year from today Jan 20th.

I've said before...I think GWB will fare much better in the future than he has in the last few years.

President Obama has a blank slate before him. He can be kind and gracious, wise and make good decisions, or he won't be. We will know soon enough.
