It doesn't matter when the cutover is, there will still be folks out there not prepared, or not willing to get off the couch and do something until they have to.

I believe the real reason, however, is that many viewers will end up temporarily not watching TV, which translates into significant losses of advertising revenue for the networks and others.

If the clearing of the analog band is delayed significantly (e.g., more than a couple weeks), it seems to me that QCOM might have a claim against either the government or those interest groups that have been pressing for a delay.

I have strong feeling that QCOM will get more revenue from a claim than revenue from Mediaflow :)

I seriously doubt that those who've sat on their behinds and not done anything are within the advertisers' targeted audiences.
