We can discuss politics, but at times agree to disagree. The only people in my family I cannot talk politics with are her oldest and my niece's husband. Even her siblings and her sister who lived with her until shortly before the marriage thinks they are off base.

My family is knee-jerk liberal and almost willfully ignorant of events in the nation and world. For the most part, they do not read publications, do not get news from the internet and don't even watch the network news. I have concluded that in the interest of family peace I will not discuss politics in any way, shape of form with them.
