It's time to stop the Obama celebrity train and start seeing him as an elected official. I wish our new president good luck; he's going to need it... Hopefully he won't just be another politician with an empty bag of promises.

So far all the fawning is only 24/1 and there is absolutely no reason why those who supported Obama (including myself) can't spend a day, a week, maybe even a month savoring the victory after eight years of suffering under one of the (if not actually THE) worst presidents ever. You are right that it will be a while before we really know how he's doing, but in the mean time, we, the majority of Americans who voted for Obama in this democracy or ours, are going to celebrate his presidency, and if you don't like it, that's what's known as tough sh*t. Get used to it, whiner.
