This chart may show how long it takes to make a bottom even better. Note that it is my belief that the market will not form a long term bottom until sellers are exhausted. At that point lower volume but above average volume can lead the market higher. It is doubtful that this could happen so soon after the huge volume just a few months ago. In addition the market cannot rally until both the financial and semiconductor sectors are ready to lead. Today might have looked good on the short covering bounce but it was no 90% upside day. RtS
