You're right. I'm not an expert on military strategy. However, I stand by my opinion that we spend way to much time meddling in other country's business. We should find ways to stop policing the world and demand that other countries pitch in their fair share for policing activities. We simply can't afford to be the world's cop anymore. It brought the British Empire down to their knees, and they had the benefit of exploiting those countries they occupied. Now it is doing the same to us, and we don't exploit countries that we have bases in. We need to rethink our entire foreign policy and military posture.
