One of the reasons Jews wanted to have a Jewish state is that being dependent on goodwill led to bulk murder of Jews. A few escaped to Shanghai and a few elsewhere, but for the most part, they were not welcome as immigrants. Israelis can't just decide to move to the USA and neither should they be forced from their homeland where generations of them have been born.
