I'll play a little craps every now and again, but now my game is no-limit texas hold-em.

I make no bones about that fact that I gamble for the adrenaline rush. And craps got to the point where I had to have way too much money on the table to get my rush.

Now I take a couple of hundred bucks to the poker room and I can play all night. And I actually regularly walk away with a couple hundred extra dollars in my pocket. The key though is that I can get the same rush from $200 on the poker table as I can from $2000 on the craps table.

With the options trading, where I lost my big money was in 2003 when I missed the bottom. I was a huge bear and was convinced that the market was going into the abyss. So I was shorting every bounce.

This is why I have my little mantras about "every boom is followed by a bust" and "it's never as bad as the doomsayers say and never as great as the fanatic bulls say".

and on that SPX play.....ouch!!

I have similar stories though...shoulda woulda coulda
