It may just be forced hedge fund selling now, and whipsawed traders. Many stocks (in real companies that make/sell stuff people NEED) actually look cheap to me, something I have not been able to say for the past 10 years.

I am only buying stocks when they get whacked hard, so doing nothing today. Have developed a fairly decent portfolio over the past month or so, a few stocks at a time. If society doesn't come to an end it will do well.

That trillion dollars worth of stimulus spending is coming.

Any bank shut downs by the FDIC today ? Last I checked their website, no press releases today.

Maybe they are 2 days behind becuase of the holiday and inguaration.
