Every little bit helps, but it appears from the PR, LT's license was for CDMA2000.

Engineer, re QCOM licensing China’s LT Mobile, and
”Hope we hear more on this at the ASM....

Ditto !!!

The PR speaks of “dual mode” handsets, and LT being the world’s “No.1 dual GSM mobile phone manufacturer in the world", while not specifically stating the technology on each of the two modes.

I’m assuming LT mfgs dual mode PHS and GSM handsets, and now with the Q’s license will be able to mfg dual mode GSM / CDMA, and/or PHS / CDMA – GSM/ CDMA handsets (or a combination of all three). Seems I’ve read somewhere that PHS is to be phased out and replaced by CDMA.

The re-birth of GSM1x????

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
