Russia was about the have a revolution and drop out after loosing 1.6 million soldiers. France lost almost as many, and the Brits about 500,000. Everyone was tired, worn-out, and getting broke. So how many soldiers did the Americans leave behind ? About 50,000 - about the same as Viet Nam. Less fighting = lower losses. wg
