people have little choice, for the system can only churn out politicians that are either termites or fungus, and so one can only hope the people choose wisely :0)

US Government depends on who gets the president’s ears. In the case of Bush hawks and bankers. Hawks (Rumsfeld, Rove & co. landed the US in the Middle East and the bankers landed the US in the middle of a financial crisis. Obama will lend his ears to a different set of minds and opinions. That will steer the US into a different path. Less overbearing than Bush. Starts buying political capital abroad bringing back the ones who were alienated by the hawks. Start buying political capital at home, the freeze of the pay of people in DC is classic. That will take care of the civil servnats that will try to torpedo the amdinistration from inside. Feeling the prospects of 8 years of Obama they will walk the line... US Government is very dangerous for the world beause of this dependence on the set of termites that live off the US log..
