I guess if they were free range, which I don't worry so much about anymore, they might eat a bug that had some exposure to pesticides, and the bug would not be veggie- but really, what I'm trying to avoid is ground up dead animal carcasses served as dinner, and wholesale pesticide use to prevent grain beetles. I'm not worried at all about trace amounts- if I can get rid of the big hazards, that's all I care about. I figure it's a quantities game.

And by "an issue" I meant with food poisoning- which is what I thought you were talking about with the cooking of the eggs. You applied that sentence to a different part of my paragraph- and I didn't expect anyone to make that inference.
