That and the idea the Israelis fall into the PR traps of the savvy Hamas fighters - which haven't launched any rockets lately - hmmm. Seems the Israelis have bought the temporary peace they wanted - in time they'll need to swat the flies again if they don't negotiate for peace in good faith.

Those two things seem mutually exclusive.

Hardly. I said Israelis are neither stupid nor saints. What civilians they kill and wound is to give Gazans a wake up call. However, they know if they go too far they will be condemned by the rest of the world.
