A credit card was used because it was necessary for the RNC to pay the bill rather than the campaign, for legal reasons. These people (the Palins) are ordinary people who overnight found themselves in the national spotlight. As Newsweek said, Palin didn't have the "fancy pantsuits" that Clinton had, so they had to be purchased. You couldn't very well have Palin herself doing the shopping, so they bracketed her sizes which further inflated the bill. YOUR PARTY has a serious problem when it spends $200k to clothe someone for two months. That fact is INDISPUTABLE.
