Sure sounds like an argument against testing to me;

We don't test for e. coli and salmonella- but with proper food handling they shouldn't be much of an issue. Food cooked to the proper temperature will be safe even if they have these organisms. I would recommend a mild baking soda wash for fresh vegetables and fruits. Baking soda is highly bactericidal (and safe for humans).

I repeat, how do you make this a nonissue with peanut butter? Cook it? Put baking soda on it?
