You want to try to tell me why you've taken such a tone with me? I've merely said I handle my food carefully. I was right about the salmonella (feces), and I don't understand why you've been so rude.

Let me start all over as I sure wasn't trying to be rude. I posted the piece on the salmonella deaths because I thought your posted suggested that if mothers at home prepare their food properly they are protected. That simply is not the case. Each time we get a contamination followed by deaths it seems to be a new source; Jack in Box hamburgers, healthy apple juice, contaminated lettuce and now peanut butter. Yes we can microwave our peanut butter, .........BUT nobody does. And next time it will be something else.

If you are in favor of testing - great. Then we agree on that. But I do disagree that the busy mother who has her hands full is prepared or has the time to do such silly things as microwave the peanut butter before putting it on bread. In the real world that is just not going to happen. Now if you take disagreeing with you on this as being rude, then all I can say is I'm very sorry - but I still disagree.

And one more thing; We are becoming sicker by living in sterile homes. They now have hints that asthma and allergies in kids may be from not being dirty enough. Their immune systems have not been fully developed. Sooooooo, we can go overboard in kitchen cleanliness. BUT we have to start with food that is not contaminated.
