<<Swedish economy quickly recovered>. that was Sweden, and Faber has a lot of historical data to show it was an anomaly.
One Swedish situation was distinctly NOT as dire as ours in his view.
i will need , in time,(not now) to dig into Fabers archives and post his study of the history of this type of action.
Off the cuff i believe he lists 7 failures and 2 successes(one being Sweden)
So i say to bring out Sweden as the beacon is misleading, as it was , a rare success story.
So we can't call Sweden the answer, when the success rate overall is about 25%, and the failure rate about 75%.
i will proceed and say the sheer hugeness of U.S. versus Sweden, is a major detriment, NOT an advantage. Max
