Here is Wikipedia information on bug that Bridi was infected with;

en.wikipedia.org

Interestingly even though Bridi died just today that information is already contained in the Wikipedia article;

Most recently, a Brazilian model named Mariana Bridi had her hands and feet both amputated due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa that presented itself as a urinary tract infection. Bridi lived only a few days after the amputations and died on January 24, 2009 at 2:30 am. The doctors that treated Bridi attribute her death to complications with the generalized infection and the subsequent surgery. She was 20 years old at the time of her death.

You're talking to someone who got an MRSA as part of an outpatient surgery. I take resistant bacteria very seriously, and doctors who over prescribe, and farms that overuse these things, are criminal, imo.

That said, the model involved was dark skinned- and I do wonder if she ate properly, and got enough vitamin D.
