It's fun watching them trying to decide how much gray his hair should have. They tried out a little around the temples but I see it's now back to all black.

He's been able to create even his looks

Obama has more of a "Caucasian" face than the standard American black one. Easier for Whites to react well to. All of these factors have added to his ability to sell himself.
