Can you please explain how having these people at GTMO is any different from having them in prison in Afghanistan under American control? Don't ask him tough questions - Obama says they'll have a plan in a year, they think. As for a plan - I offered to take four of them for whatever it costs to house them now - say $100,000 per bad dude - I'll keep them in my basement and take real good care of them. :-)

Do you really understand what the problem is with Gitmo? Do you? We stuck a whole bunch of people in a prison on questionable grounds and denied them due process. We fukked up their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Why? Because of winger paranoia. And most of them.....the vast majority of them have proven to be innocent. The US is a democracy. Democracies have certain values; that's what makes them special. We didn't write those values on a dusty template so they could be wiped out when its convenient. Do you understand?
