What kind of music do you want to play?

Old country, new country, blues, blues rock metal?

Can you name a half dozen bands?

Have you considered the different amp sounds. Broadly speaking the amp voicing are Fender, Marshall, and VOX.

I've got a Gibson Les Paul Standard, era approximately early 70s or late 60s that I really like. I bought it used in the early- to mid-70s; that was a great purchase. I've also got a late 70's Stratacaster that I like, although that one has gotten pretty beat up. I bought that one new.

I've always wanted a Gibson 335, but never got around to buying one.

I'm very impressed with the quality of my 4-year old Music Man Stingray 5 base. Although I haven't tried the new Music Man guitars, I would suggest giving one of those a try.

Best wishes,

I2
