I don't understand the point of distinction you're trying to make. Suppose I said the notion that the universe was created from a Big Bang can't yet be fully discounted. This would also not be a scientific statement. So what? I'm not arguing the existence or not of God. Only that perhaps the study of ID has a place in academia as much as does evolution and the Big Bang.
