"Teleportation Milestone Achieved" The whole idea of quantum entanglement is creepy. There is definitely something going on there that we don't know the fundamentals of. Like with those experiments where they placed a string of atoms in an ellipse and then placed an atom at one of the foci of that ellipse. The space at the other foci took on some of the properties of that atom... Have you read Greg Bear's "Anvil of Stars"? He takes that concept and runs with it.
