Ed,
thanks for your encouraging comments. The prudent hedging and the acquire & exploit angle that END undeoubtedly has makes this quite an unusual smallcap with the additional benefit of meaningful production and relatively low-cost development projects.

You certainly have more insight into the realities of the oilpatch than I do, so I cannot put a $-figure on the cost of Rochelle development. I wholeheartedly agree with you that top priority must be to get the appraised discoveries to production as quickly as possible and as frugal as possible. Ordinary debt redemption or redemption of the 11.5% convertibles certainly take a backseat to this important goal.

At the very least however, Endeavour should however take advantage of the financial turmoil and repurchase listed debt under water (below par). This not only will save them interest in the future, it will also record a gain immediately.

Endeavour Announces Successful Flow Test From Rochelle Appraisal Well in the United Kingdom
Thursday January 29, 2009, 7:41 am EST

LONDON, January 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Endeavour International Corporation (Amex: END - News; LSE: ENDV - News) today announced that drill stem testing of the Rochelle appraisal well 15/27-11 has achieved flow rates of 41 million cubic feet of gas per day and 2,300 barrels of oil condensate per day from a 72/64-inch fixed choke. This highly successful test confirms the commerciality of the undeveloped Rochelle discovery in Block 15/27 located in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea.

The rates were achieved from a limited 20-foot interval at the top of the 77-foot net pay in the Lower Cretaceous Kopervik sandstone. Endeavour holds a 55.6 percent interest in the well and is operator for the block. Nexen Petroleum U.K. Limited is a joint venture participant and holds 44.4 percent interest.

"This is a major milestone in the growth of our company as the Rochelle field development has the potential to more than double our current production," said William L. Transier, chairman and chief executive officer. "The success of our first company-operated appraisal project reflects the quality of our technical evaluations and operational capabilities, and we intend to move quickly towards development. Our preliminary estimates indicate recoverable reserves in excess of 30 million gross barrels of oil equivalent."

The Rochelle 15/27-11 appraisal well was drilled to a total depth of 10,369 feet subsea approximately two kilometers northeast of the 15/27-9 discovery well drilled in 2000. Endeavour acquired the Rochelle area in 2006. It lies in the Outer Moray Firth in the prolific Kopervik sand fairway between the Goldeneye and Brodgar producing fields.

Endeavour Announces Successful Appraisal Drilling in Cygnus Field in the United Kingdom North Sea
Tuesday February 10, 2009, 12:30 am EST

HOUSTON, February 10 -- Endeavour International Corporation (Amex: END - News; LSE: ENDV - News) today announced that the Cygnus 44/12a-3 appraisal well in the Southern Gas Basin in the North Sea has successfully extended the productive area of the Cygnus field by confirming the presence of recoverable gas reserves in a second fault block. Endeavour holds a 12.5 percent interest in the Cygnus field area spread over two United Kingdom blocks, 44/11a and 12a. License partners include GDF SUEZ, the operator, and Venture Production Plc.

The well was drilled to a total depth of 12,433 feet and flow tested at rates up to 32 million cubic feet of gas per day. The parameters of the secondary Carboniferous reservoir interval substantially exceed pre-drill expectations and gross reserves are estimated to be in excess of 100 billion cubic feet. A further appraisal well will be drilled immediately in a third fault block approximately eight kilometers northwest of the 44/12a-3 following completion of the well.

A field development plan for Cygnus was submitted to the United Kingdom governing authority, Department of Energy and Climate Change, in December 2008 and contained a phased development scenario that called for initial production to begin in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Stated William L. Transier, chairman and chief executive officer of Endeavour:

"The excellent result of this appraisal well confirms what Endeavour and its joint venture partners believe is one of the largest gas discoveries in the UK sector of the Southern Gas Basin in the last decade. This positive news in the Cygnus area comes on the heels of the successful appraisal of our Rochelle discovery in Block 15/27. Our company now has three significant gas development projects underway that should more than double our current production in the 2010 and 2011 timeframe. We are now beginning to see evidence that the potential of our undeveloped discoveries will surpass our best expectations. Endeavour is maturing into a well capitalized, self-funded and balanced exploration and development company."
