If that's the price we pay to keep religion out of official government business and only in the ceremonial stuff, it's fine with me. It's a balance that accommodates the will of the majority without seriously encroaching on the constitutional rights of the minority.

It's not realistic for atheists to expect to live in a world where they don't hear elected officials expressing personal religious views. As for whose country it is, there are lots of different views on that.

Fortunately we have a constitutional system that allows those different POVs to coexist peacefully.

IOW, what happened on inauguration day really isn't worth getting steamed about. It is what it is, and won't change.
