Thank you for thanking me. I agree with how you described the connundrum: I do think part of the reaction your comments provoked here is due to the fact that the "scientific community" is continually assaulted, IMHO, by "trojan horse" arguments posing as science by those who wish to attack science. The scientists themselves have no problem logically dismantling these arguments as they are well trained in the science methodology. The problem comes, IMHO, from the fact that this often muddies the waters for the non-scientific community who is often the source of scientific funding for the scientists
