Oh, I know about it. I once had two clients involved in the same fraudulent real estate deal. One was very involved, the other only on the fringes. The one on the fringe, way outer edge, went to be interviewed by the FBI without her attorney. The one more deeply involved paid his attorney 100K (a lot of money at the time) and sent him instead. The one who was deeply involved? Walked. The one without an attorney? 4 years at Club Fed. It matters. Regardless of what the crime is.
