I don't know whether people who have dollar cost averaged over the past ten years would have lost enough money to erase the reported gains on Brinker's portfolios or not.

I think the reason Brinker threads are less popular than they used to be is the hit-or-miss nature of his timing calls, starting with the QQQQ recommendations of 2000-2001.

Brinker simply failed to get them out of it, as he had hoped to be able to do.
