Just about every corp bond is junk today.

We know who Time, Life etc are. Socialist media. They do it well at least.

Sort of like the Hearst Empire, without out and out fakery of stories. You don't need to do that to get your political point taken as the high and dry ground.

It is journalistic politics as a religion.

One of these days someone will start a news medium that actually reports world events and represent views on history without political bias. And tell the editorial truth. Show society in it true light, and highlight what is important. So much of media today is the equivalent of a kitten in a tree reportage. So many threads on the internet are moderated towards one political viewpoint. You get the idea that conservatism is a crime against humanity. Automatically you hate if you are not liberal, democrat, socialist, left etc.. hmmmm.. interesting. I guess we have no choice but to put democrat/liberal crosses on our lawns. If it is your choice I can respect that. But it should be mine too.

All you can read is one social, political or economic viewpoint. World events such as you can read about in national newspapers of other countries is almost completely absent from US or CDN newspapers. The Globe and Mail supposedly Canada's largest national newspaper has exactly 10 foreign reporters. The Irish Times, not necessarily the best of newspapers, nonetheless has easily double that number. With today's technology, it would be relatively simple to start a co-operative network where dozens of foreign contributors could provide input into an relatively unbiased new organ. Beat the Press it should be called.

To illustrate what I mean, I once pointed out that Columbia had (at the time) 3600 kidnappings a year and was far too high risk to start up a mining operation, or even contemplate exploration. Someone got on my case and said it was insulting to Latin Americans etc.. and I should back off.. that it was a pejorative opinion. As if a Latino might think I am calling them scumbags or something like that.. I have to wonder. What is it about the truth that frightens people so much? We should hide everyday facts from adults, as if it were something dirty we could not tell children.

Sheesh!
