I use Office 2008. I have it on a couple computers and Office 2003 on a couple others. If my software develops problems I know who is going to support it and it isn't some hacker in Russia pretending to be helpful. My kids have Office 2008 at school and so they are glad that I do at home. Every new version is better than the previous release. 2008 reorganized the human interface; it is a challenge to learn at first. Once one gets the paradigm it is much easier to use. The most economical way for parents to buy Office 2008 is have their kids buy it under the student license. Student licensees can be activated on up to 3 computers and it is already dirt cheap.
