I think you're confusing average citizens with our politicians. No conservative or republican politician has "attacked" The One. Please point out where that has happened.

People that suggest we go after him the same way Democrats pursued Bush are mistaken imo Helloooo! No one here is suggesting that we become like the deranged Democrats who maligned and undercut Bush at every turn. [The sad part is that the One and his minions are such a target rich environment.....lol.] All we have to do is focus on opposing his policies which are not good for the country. We have a duty to do that. Obama set himself up to fail with all the nonsense he spewed during the campaign. The Democrats' spending proposals are horrendous! To put it simply, while we support the President and have respect for the office, we need to oppose wrong-headed policies as fiercely as we must. You seem to be advocating a get along/go-along approach only to shout "gotcha!" later. I hate to tell you that the "gotchas" always come from the other camp, regardless of what actually happened. And that is why the Republicans need to start talking to the public and making the financial issues starkly clear right now. If the Prez doesn't like criticism of his ideas, he's in the wrong job.
